Having managed to buy an interia type starter motor second hand, months before the likes of SH engineering decdied to make their flywheels pre-engaged tooth profile I need a new starter motor. May even try An A&R precion flywheel as they are still available once you get through on the phone.

How are people finding the reliabilty of the powerlite starter motors, as the core doesn't appear to be denso. Wosp etc are also an option.

Any other reccomdations, as I remember people having issues with various suppliers a while ago.

Cheers.

My powerlite had a moment last winter when I just couldn't get it to do anything other than click but after a bit of messing it started to work and it's been just fine since. Not sure what was up with it.
