How are you doing fuel and ignition? Do you have an intercooler?

I'd guess that's all you'all get out of the standard cam. You could check the cam timing and test it with a couple degrees advance, but I doubt there's much more to be had.

Standard pistons used by quite a few people. I'll be running new SPI ones (21963). Not sure exactly which standard pistons, but Nick used these for years, then broke the ring lands when pushed to 200 bananas. Not sure what power he had originally, but judging by the vids I've seen, it was a lot.

Printout shows the transmission losses to be really good. I always thought they were normally higher?

Did they measure the hp at flywheel and wheels or just apply a notional 14 percent loss?? I too thought the losses would be higher?

I am interested as i thought only engine dynos measured at the fly and RR at wheels?

normally on a RR the do a run down test, which kinda measures transmission loss, and then subtract it to get a flywheel figure.

With a standard cam it dies off after about 5500-5600. Needs not to go past that point really, i had the same cutoff point in my old 1275, after that you felt the power massively tail off.
