8 pistons,8 inlets,8 exhausts*tongue*

Would a t3 adapted onto the stock cast exhaust manifold on each bank work, would they need cross linking between the 2 banks

Same on the carbs really*indifferent* cross link to make sure boost is the same side to side ???

rover v8 has a pair of su's fitted so just change to turbo hif 44

Thanks for looooking*surprised*

no need to cross link I would say, one turbo per bank with one carb per bank.

early carburettor range rovers for example run one su per bank, not linked.

Go for it...*happy*

Use to Hillclimb against a sierra v6, a turbo on each bank blowing through 1 intercooler. Injection ofcourse.

it would work i am sure with some thought.

Non linked exhaust sounds ok,with the turbos on it will save on silencers.Take the "imp" approach non required

On the inlet side due to not having a balanced pair of turbos would it be a good idea to join the pleniums to equalize pressure between carbs

What about the fuel regs? one or two Hmmm

Intercooler(s) In the rear window I reckon with ducts cut into perspex side windows

Turbo sizes.... would rover 220 t25's do as they are 2 litre,or t3s on rs turbo snails(a/r)

Somewhere around Swindon

most of the TT setups use a single intercooler with two inlets and one outlet

3.5 litre? I'm guessing you're looking at limited rpm (5500 or so) - and maybe just 7/8 psi? With the ports of the Rover head - a turbo engine will really fly - even at low boost!
With that - I'd say you want a pair of turbo's with a .35 or .47 A/R turbine?

The R5GT ones are expensive, but probably pretty ideal. The Rover 6/800 turbo units are cheap, and probably better for 'high end' performance.

StevieTurbo has already had the Rover V8 experience, and there is nothing like 1st hand knowledge - so he's probably the best to comment on this IMO!

Dangerous seeing this thread remined me to look around my garage for old v8 parts.

My dad plans on keeping most of our parts with the exception of some old sd1 pistons which are of no use for you anyway...
