Afternoon all,

Just wondering what anyone has done in the line of brace bars for a clubbie front? I do have a set of bars for the round nose front but as we know they are no good for the clubman. It's for a steel flip front too so don't really want to chop the bits that are in the way of it opening and closing. Anyone done anything unique they could share with me? Cheers...

They shouldn't foul the front, however they won't fit the (remains) of the inner wings as they are straighter on a clubman.

You used to be able to get bars for clubman shells - does no one do them anymore?

Oh i see because the inner wing at the top goes out to meet the more squarer bonnet shape?

Ok thanks for the replies. Ya the problem I'm having are the subframe fixings (on the brace bars) are fowling the slampanel as they protrude a bit either side...

Let me have another look at it... *Confused*

Ah yeah of course! The inner wings over hang at the top on a clubby. The brace bars I make may fit, as they mount to the shock mounts at the top. 😉

I thought it was a problem with the front slam panel?

How was you planning to mount the front when its shut? With the teardrops in place?

These are my problems Dave... I need to think about brace bars, how it stays shut, an opening device possibly...

A fair bit of head scratching..
