68 austin sprite turbo project

hey guys i picked up a 68 suatin sprite and wanting to turbo the 1275 engine ,, we have done a few chevrolet carb blow through with pretty good luck

have a look at Tadge44 & Steve1275's builds as they have had pretty good results with in-line configurations

Welcome, what are your plans for the car? Racer or cruiser? This site is fantastic for A series turbocharging, but an inline engine does throw up a few oddities.

thanks guys ,, just going to cruise it around and think the whistle would be cool and maybe make a little more power,, i have a turbo business but have not turboed anything this small before

any ideas on what size turbo would work decent on this engine?? i have a 43/60mm comoressor and 50/64mm turb t3 turbo with no home ,,i think it will be on the big side for a 1.3l engine

Garret gt1752 from a Saab will spool from low in the revs and easily give you 200 horses.

If it's street driven and no burnouts, uprated half shafts and an LSD should cover it. A 7.5 inch clutch from Peter May also. The cooling should just about cope if you don't rag it too much.
