Ive always been bit worried about low back seats in a worst case scenario... plus ive wanted the later kind of seats for comfort too on longer runs.. looked at a few at shows but been stupidly expensive or ripped to pieces.. sometimes both!!
BUT a friend has kindly gave me some from a 90's spi.. passenger seat is perfect but drivers seat bolster has collapsed and the webbing underneath had broke.. i stripped the seat down this evening and could remove the bottom cover with foam attached..

And heres the help needed.. i cant see how on earth i can split the cover from the foam!? It has metal wires running through the foam going through eyelets and cant see how this comes off?

THANKS! *smiley*

You just need to prise open up the rings (3 each side) enough to get the wire in the seat cover up and out. The wires in the cover should just slide out then. I think there's meant to be a shallow bend in them so don't straighten them out.

If the lower foam is not completely battered it should still have 2 wires moulded into it.
