Hi everyone, decided to go for turbocharged route. I've stripped the gearbox off the engine and now thinking of upgrading the diff, gears and drop gears. Where do you recommend buying the parts from Ive been looking at mini spares mini sport etc and also swiftune but they seem very expensive. I'm looking for straight cut gears/drop gears and a cross pin diff also a centre pick up pipe. Usually I try and afford the best but in this case I need to think and spare some money for engine build as well. there are loads of places to buy from and loads of information so thought I would ask thanks Dave

Minispares clubman gearset
Minispares 4 pin diff (anywhere really they are mostly the same and not heard of any bad ones)
Drop gears i'd aim for some with a floating bush, i went MED.
Pick up pipes all seem the same.

PICKUP PIPES ARE NOT ALL EQUAL!..........

The Mini Spares one has a larger area of the gauze open to the oil.

But then it may not be a problem so long as you dont leave any blue roll in there.

Is it A-Series only? I think it should be...
So when some joey comes on here about how his 16v turbo vauxhall is great compared to ours, he can be given the 'bird'...

I've heard bad things about the MiniSport diff. Don't know if that's still holds true, but safer to go for the MiniSpares one.

If they're in good condition, standard 1st gear and reverse are reused with the 'Clubman' gear sets to save a few quid.

Mini spares clubman set, drops and diff.

Use either good used baulk rings or the expensive mini spares competition ones.
