I have aquired the below tool for nowt. Now I know how to work it but does anyone know how many thou' each click represents.

I assume the 'click-per-thou' only works for standard ratio rockers.

Any other opinions on the use of these tools welcome.

ps. if you look closley at the picture you can see the TT2 shell.

It's not so many clicks per thou. What you're supposed to do is set a thick gauge between the tappets (is that the right term in the UK?) and close them down. This gives a good, flat surface to gauge from. Then use the correct thickess gauge and add that to the one you used as a flat surface. Using the ClickAdjust, back off the tappet until both gauges fit under, counting the clicks. When the gauges fit, you know how many clicks to back off a closed tappet to get the appropriate distance.

It's a nice tool in theory, but I tried to use it to adjust my Toyota, and it was a PITA. I ended up doing it the old fashioned way.

And the worst part is that you have to use a half-inch drive socket to crank down the nuts (though it looks like yours already has this installed on it).
