Hello,

Just a quick introduction. I'm building a Mk1 Mini race car 1293cc, Omega pistons, steel rods and twin H4 carbs. Sorry no turbo. I am looking for parts to rebuild a Jack Knight Metro Turbo Challenge gearbox. Thanks in advance for any help. Much appreciated.

Daniel

Welcome
Are there rules that mean you have to use that gearbox?
Might be worth while moving to a better supported gear kit with spares available

Yes i moved to the darkside *happy*

Yep, the JKD challenge sets were notorious for poor case hardening and the laygear disintegrating (as it appears your has with you needing a new one)

If something is worth doing, it's worth doing half of.

I think the chap who used to run MRA was looking into re-manufacturing some at one point. He may be worth a call to see if he can help you. I would have thought a new gearkit would be more economical however.
