Is there any way of getting rid if it or at least reducing it? I've tried everything I could think of but it still does it. Could change in suspension setup help?

yes, in my own oppinion alot of bad handling cars are blamed on torque steer when really it is bad suspension set up

get the car square with sensible geometry and it should see you going in a straightish line

Current set up is:

Rear: 0* toe in 0* camber

front 1* camber 7* caster o* toe in.

Im running on some shitty spax dampers and mini spares hardest doanuts.

Handles well, seams a bit bumpy on shite roads. My corner weights need doing, but saying that the cas pulls both ways when turbo spools up. Off boost handling seems spot on on smooth ground.

Mitsi Evo 7, 911, Cossie. & all the chavs ...... won no problem

iam running 1.25 camber

caster 5.5 deg

in now! handles fantastic very pridictable*happy*

after the tracking was sorted

torque steer hardley none.*happy*

i used to run 9 deg but in my book it was too much of a handfull

5.5 seems great
the standard setting is 3 deg but i may stand corrected chaps!

I've got superlite 6x12, not sure on offset, but they stick out about an inch beond the standard plastic arches. Would a little bit off front toe in help as well as reducing caster?

leave the toe set at standard buddy

play around with the caster but dont go into double figures

inbetween 3 & 9 deg is about the limit

i like mine at 5.5 but the miglia guys a tad more

Hey everyone i dont no if this helps being new to turbo minis but im using the Gaz adjustable dampers front and back, ive found them to be great. Myself and some friends went down to mini in the park and having four in the car mad for a funny experience, but being able to soften and stiffen them made all the difference, i would be intreseted to hear if you stiffen them you may be able to reduce torque stear. Maybe Gaz have changed over the years? I bought a set when they first came out - and removed them the week after... Wayyyyy too harsh / stiff for a road car they were.
They're now sat waiting for me to build a trackcar (one day)!

No lol it does make a difference i had them quite stiff to start with and having gone from lincoln to nottingham then to oxford and back changing to a softer setting for motorway use made a noticable difference.

I dont change the settings all that often depends if i want to attack some corners *happy* because the lincolnshire roads have some great corners but on the other hand they arent in the best of conditions either, i got them cheap so im not complaining*laughing* on everyday use i like them. But i guess you must try them or have some to know.

Although in lincoln every day for work.
