As you all know my home country, belgium is hosting the 2016.

I even used to be a member of the organising club, mini fun club belgium...

But i am no longer active in any club besides tm and mini7 racing club now.

As my project is nearing completion i was wondering who is coming over to the imm next year.
Or will the club as itself be attending.
I would be happy to act as a liason between the club and the organisation as i know their english is pretty bad... (Have a look at the event page www.imm2016.be)

Also i would like to point out that there is a rwyb being organised at clastres as well that weekend.
It is for vw's mainly but any make can join in if there is room. Maybe it's nice to combine this while you are on the mainland to get some track action. I'm planning on going there on the 14th and do a day ticket for the imm on the 15th.

The track is located 2hrs from the eurotunnel and the imm is about 3 hrs of driving from there...

If there are enough minis that want to join i am also willing to inquire on reserving the track on the 13th for minis only drag race... It's a long shot but i think their prices will be reasonable...compared to bigger/more popular tracks.

Well the clastres circuit is about 3 hrs from the imm and it's an hour from calais. Type in circuit clastres on facebook and you'll find more info on the track and the event is on facebook as well wild vw drag days. Looks like fun....

Long Dave, it was the longest drive I ever done in the mk1! Worth it for the week I was there, also it was a good test of the "how much will the wife really put up with"

lommel to neurenberg ring is a 564 km ( lets say 350 miles)
ps for the ones not wanting to camp or have kids with them... sunparks is only 3 milkes out. ( its a tropical swimingpool allong with some bungalow houses you can rent. )

you can do anything if you set your mind to it...
i rather blow it up winning than keep it together losing.

jups sorry mine gps was on trough and back from imm and nürburgring. my bad.

its 2.5 hours drive single. yet do calculate in belgian trafic and german trafic... so lets say up to 3 hours
there are no events from 12 to 16 may at the ring so it should be posible to drive both of the tracks ( nord ring and the f1 track 5 km long) the tracks opening hours and so on do change often and they look at the weather conditions to .
prices are as i remember about 26 euro for a single run and 90 to 100 euro for 4 rounds on the north one. f1 track was not yet open for public when i was there. maybe in time to do a group request since there are no on there calendar.

you can do anything if you set your mind to it...

The ring was one of the funniest things I did in the mk1 Dave, BUT it's hard on the car!

I can imagine! 10 minutes thru caining it round rockingham n i was feeling sorry for it... but then got in a tassle n thought fuck it ive had my fun n buried my foot for the last half... but still in one piece so wouldnt mind doing the same sort of time round the ring, if not ill just go later in the year in the cup, and thanks for the link.. i remember reading it first time round but unless im blind i still cant see what group you went with from that link?

I guess zolder is the closest track from the imm, but as far as i know no open track days in that week. There is however an open track day ln the 16th at spa francorchamps... Interested dave??
