Your wiring sequence is correct and the SPi sender is compatible with most Smiths clocks. It depends on how old your speedo unit is as early gauges didn't use a voltage regulator and I don't think they operated thermaly. The regulator may have been introduced on the MK3. |

12v to voltage regulator, then to sender, then the opposite side of the sender goes back to the fuel gauge, not to earth. On 26th Jan, 2012 Tom Fenton said:
