I have almost all the parts together for my build...

Before I get started, however, I've read that some of you have solid mounted the front subframe. Is this recommended and if so what parts do you use to do so?

Resident Cylinder Head Modifier

Mitsi Evo 7, 911, Cossie. & all the chavs ...... won no problem

I would as the standard mounts take a real bashing off a turbo motor

deflex bushes for the suspension items

Solid top tower mounts for the sub frame & solid ally peardrop mounts for the front subby to the front panel

also FRONT btm rear subby mounts to the floor pan solid as well

it does make it a little more noisy & your fillings drop out!
but if you have any decent amounts of power its needed!

do the rear in deflex bushes. all round

Go to your car, open the drivers side window, lean in at turn the steering wheel from side to side.....

You should see the subframe and shell move against each other if you are using a the rubber mounted set up.

Imagine how much it would move when stonking around a roundabout with 100+ bhp on tap?

This is because the rack is firmly bolted to the shell and the steering, suspnsion and subframe rubber mounted.(granny here's your eggs)

Solid mount it if it is a sporty responsive drive you are after...
