Anyone have any idea how hot the outside of turbine housing gets?

I've got to blank off a recirc valve and was going to use something good for 200 degrees??

This is FORD country, on a quiet day you can hear Vauxhalls rusting.

Yeh the turbine is the hot side, anywhere up to 900 degrees and sometimes above if you're brave *happy*

The compressor is the cold side, temperature depends on compressor efficiency and boost, 100 degrees and sometimes above, again depends how brave you are *hehe!*

So when some joey comes on here about how his 16v turbo vauxhall is great compared to ours, he can be given the 'bird'...

Yeah, of course the compressor side!

I just figured that heat soak from the exhaust side may have been more of an issue.

Sound, wanted to use Viton as the gasket as well so all good then.

Yeah, it's for a ford turbo. Sort of....

Mine never made official production, so I'm not really sure what blank I'd need. So have made one.
Cheers
