I have a weeping core plug, I gather its just a case of poping the old one out then press the new one in ! its on the side of the block over the bell housing so its accessible to a degree.

Just tap it around with a screwdriver then prise out. Can also use Loctite to help seal the new one.

For the cost, I'd buy a full set; They can look perfect on the outside but be paper thin with rust on the inside. The other ones may be ready to give up soon after!

Yes as Phil says use locktight to make it a perfect seal
