There was a thread that mentioned 39deg but I'm not sure it was ever proved.

With water injection and a max boost of 12psi I was in the 40's on the rollers

I run a supercharger and I don't care the TB is on the wrong side.
VEMS + 12 PSI + Liquid Intercooler = Small Bore FUN!

well, as an example,

for a std metro ( no intercooler), your looking at around 70 degrees C at 7 psi, if you up it to say 10psi ( about the most your gonna get away with with no IC) your looking at 90C,

honestly though, as long as you have a decent sized cooler thats getting air to it, you should be fine on typical boost levels.

We had some realty cheep screens with temp sensors un the metro can. One either side of big front mount intercooler. We would get about 30degrees drop on about 15-20psi, running at 35-40•c at the plenum

Those numbers dont add up Andy. The heat of compression alone at 15psi and an unlikely turbo efficiency of 75% would see discharge temperatures in and around 110c with an ambient of 20c so there had to be a bigger temperature difference across the intercooler than 30 degrees to achieve 40c at the plenum?.......

So when some joey comes on here about how his 16v turbo vauxhall is great compared to ours, he can be given the 'bird'...

Probably a bigger drop. I've just watched a video of it on 17psi on rollers and it was hitting just short of 40 degrees.

If something is worth doing, it's worth doing half of.

It's been a ling time since we had that car Col, it's more likely to be my memory letting me down. It has stuck in my mind as we were surprised by the difference the big I.c. Made. Just the actual numbers that are fuzzy.

Without checking datalogs I think they had hit mid to late 30s untill i was over 50mph where they would drop again... i dont think they rose much at all on water/meth

ok so basically you'll be considerably down on power before the temp gets to the point of doing damage as long as the AFR is good
