I chopped up a Metro Turbo on Saturday and took all the relevant bits home |

unlucky mate, i've always worried about the rope i use to lift the engine in and out snapping and the engine landing on the turbo, maybe i should stop worrying about it or it might happen lol

Turbo carb is a sealed item, so a standard carb off a normally aspirated engine won't be any use. The Turbo dizzy has an advance curve tailored to the engine, so again it will be best to use the correct item. Try putting an add in the wanted section on this site as these items seem to go for stupid prices on ebay etc

We kept the engine on the front subframe with wheels still on to make it easier to move, however as we lifted it out of the van the engine crane toppled and the engine landed on it's carb
The carb smashed into a squillion pieces and the dizzy shattered too, but no other damage (thankfully!).
