was reading the disaster struck topic and saw barney mentioning a fwd nova running 10's, id like to see evidence of this barney a front wheel drive nova running 10's on 1/4, as local lad from my area has a 320bhp nova which is a 2ltr turbo from a calibra who runs 12's on 1/4 mile and recntly read in a magazine he has quickest road legal front wheel drive vauxhall in the uk.

so where is this front wheel drive 10 seconds nova?

I'm sure I'm speaking for the majority when i say if this turns into an un-neccesary slag-fest, it'll be locked or deleted.
For the time being, it's just a question (albeit naff-all to do with mini's!)

not aimed as a slag fest just interested dave, as i read the local lad had fastest front wheel drive vaxhall in the uk, obviously if theres 1 running 10's then i know ive read wrong.

afaik the fastest fwd road legal vaux was an mk2 astra that was running at totb.... as messed around with by chip (he who owns the miniclassic.co.uk site) and rich (aka Barney) fastest road legal fwd car at the event was a rover which ran a 11.something

might well be quicker at a propper strip tho, as aparently traction is a real issue at totob because of where it is held.

not heard of a ten second road spec fwd nova as yet, but that doesnt mean it isnt out there, im fairly newish over at mig (dont flame me like evyone else, i dont as stupid questions, and i do actually own a vaux......) and i havent heard of anyone running those times as yet.

And on the 7th day........... God created turbochargers!

yep..... owned by a chap who goes under the username sdb16vastra on mig and a few other sites.... spec as far as i know is a fairly standard let motor (cav/cally 16v turbo) (the higher spec one let go a few days before the event if i recall and was replaced by that one) a shit load of nitrous and a progressive controller.... oh and quite a bit of boost i think!!!!

do a search for totb (ten of the best) or his username on migweb if you want to know any more mate..... some quite impressive stuff over there actually, if you ignore the shit.....

And on the 7th day........... God created turbochargers!
