Hi guys hopefully this one won't be removed. Up for sale is my 8v head which has had all the welding carried out to high standard, the head face has been skimmed 3thou to clean it only, I would recommend that you change the valve guides, and seals. Don't know how you post pictures on here, but if you go onto eBay you will see them. Happy to answer questions. I am after around £450 for it, if you think that's to much please let know, but no taking the piss.

Good luck with the sale, just a heads up 500 maybe a bit steep, only saying as most k100 heads go for £100. I understand the work gone into it etc and not trying to piss on fires.

i know i payed £50 for mine about 5 years ago, granted that was cheap, but i £500 is more realistic for a 16v RS head

Guys, if this was a standard head, yes I would be selling it for £120, but it has been converted, ready for the Specialist Components/Force racing conversion. I am only trying to cover my costs for machining. Anyway I don't think you would get a machine shop for any less than I was charged, unless you run one yourself.

Yes Brett, it only cost £350 for the machining and welding, £450 for the head, cover, fuel rail, etc, etc, I think that's a pretty good deal for someone wanting to do the conversion.

Bloody hell Sam that is cheap, if I had know you only charge £120, I would have got you to do it, Specialist Components charge around £265 for that work, looks like you've done yourself out of big money.

If SC are charging £265 (and they do charge top wack for their services!) then why did you pay £350?

I think the thing is worth £200 tops. k100 heads are virtually worthless now, especially dismantled. The work takes me no more than 3 hours so £150 is a fair charge for the welding and skimming imo

(and this is ignoring you mentioning the guides need replacement which means seats would probably need a re-cut and well, once you have paid for all that and the re-shimming that goes with it you might aswell give it away, a lot of work there!)

As for the last comment, that was bought as a present, and has got nothing to do with mini's, please don't take the piss. As for the cylinder head it seems that my price is a little to high, so it will have be lowered, but I won't be giving it away!!

Ok guys I am going to start again. Since I've advertised on here, I have realised that the price I was charged for the work was on the high side, and I was only trying to cover my costs, but now I will have to swallow the extra cost I was charged, so do you think £400 is more a realistic price for the head + welding/machining, cam cover, fuel rail.
