Hi names matthew from south wales.

Baught my mini around 2 years ago and have been restoring it since.

Recently installed a metro turbo engine but in having problems with it cutting out when i build the revs any advice?

Hello

Sounds like the carb is not plumbed up correctly to allow the fuel pressure to rise as boost is made.

I run a supercharger and I don't care the TB is on the wrong side.
VEMS + 12 PSI + Liquid Intercooler = Small Bore FUN!

Yes the photos are correct. Check the balance pipe has no leaks.

Another quick check is to make sure that the gasket between the plenum and carb is correct.

There is a hole on the right hand side of the main bore (close to the threaded holes). This needs a corresponding hole in the gasket. It's common for people to block it off. This results in the floatbowl not pressurising as boost rises.

Also worth checking is that the restricter is fitted in the plenum.

Also, are you using the metro turbo dizzy with the ignition module on the side? These need a decent 12v supply. If your mini is a ballast resistance model, you may be feeding the module at 9v, they don't like this and do strange things. Also, a dying module can also do strange things. Worth investigating/changing.

Other than that, you'll need to start looking at the carb. Make sure it's all working fine and has the right needle. A wideband lambda gauge can really help here.

I beleave i solved it the bike on the carb that os supposed to be blocked wasnt air tite
