a simple one can you use a pre verto clutch but still reatin the pre ingaged stater motor, eg is it hard or not very viable insteard of changing my wiring loom

you can get a pre-verto flywheel with an pre-engaged ringgear fitted.

As it happens T2clubby has got an ultralight one which i believe he isnt going to use as he wants to use the inertia starter, might be worth dropping him a PM if your interested.
