so...

i almost have all parts for franchesca's engine...

last parts needed are (duplex) timing chain

oil pump

and the hardest thing maybe... all nuts and bolts exept the ones to put the short block together.

what valve springs would i use? the single original one's up for the job?

for the duplex. any advise? is a regular duplex and offset key good enough? or does is vernier better?

http://www.minisport.com/c-ajj3327-mini-sp...-chain-set.html
http://www.minisport.com/pipminkey4-4-deg-...odruff-key.html

although the price of a duplex and key is almost what the vernier of minisport costs.
i know i know... mini sport but its the only thing the local shop here sells.

as for pump. will this do?
http://www.minisport.com/cam86614-mini-spo...h-capacity.html

thnx in advance.

Vernier duplex is much easier. Future proof to if you need to change cam etc.

Do not buy that pump, it'll have the same issues everyone else as had with priming etc. I have a powerflow one here and the gasket area is very small. Swiftune one is good.

Benross can supply suitable valve springs.

Okey so original springs won't do.

As for pumps
This one
http://www.swiftune.com/Product/406/oil-pumps.aspx

Or this one
http://www.swiftune.com/Product/3758/swift...n-oil-pump.aspx

And would that minisport vernier do?
Don't feel like saving scrap money for another 6 months to get my parts.. *happy*

I would avoid buying from Minisport if possible.

Look on minispares instead.

If something is worth doing, it's worth doing half of.

The swifty competition pump is the one to have if your doing an out and out build but I'm not sure on the rest of your spec so you might be able to get away with a standard one.

Like you say, with minisports insane pricing system you may aswell buy a vernier pulley set but if you shop around and find a properly priced standard duplex and file your own key to suit it's much cheaper. There's really little benefit to a vernier pulley if your just going to fit and forget like most people.

Valve springs should match your cam spec really. Cam suppliers should be able to provide them usually.

For nuts and bolts either find a doner engine or get on ebay and buy the ones you need. I think minispares may do some kits of fixings too if you have a look.

Spec is pretty basic.
Standard turbo pistons with total seal piston rings
All standard but pretty balanced interior ( cranckshaft rods etc)
Gt1752 turbo with side mounted turbo. ( like the janspeed setup)
Compression Will be something around 8.3
Big valve metro head
Metro cam ( with the 1/4 inch groove)
And i have springs that came with the head and mesure all the same.

Going for a vernier setup then. Don't want to spend money on fixed. And key parts take long to get here. (Ill ask if there are any good second hands here first to suport turbo community)

As for pump... is there a chance to over capacity ?
Have a look at that keith kalver chain to. Grts

Quarry Bonk

No chance of overdoing the oil pump, the relief valve just dumps excess oil as it regulates pressure.

Here is another choice

I run a supercharger and I don't care the TB is on the wrong side.

If you're just running the standard MG Metro cam and rockers, these springs will do. No need to go o.t.t.

Any of the above will be fine pump wise. I only bought the swiftune one as there wasn't much choice at the time.
Would happily run the minispares turbo one now. I have seen one and it looked very good.

Okey cool. Its the easyest to get here... next to minisport because somehow every mini shop in belgium ( all 2 of them) seem to be minisport resellers. And 1 of them a mini breaker trying to sell me a second hand supposed turbo pump.... 😫 am maybe daft question but i have already so many help me out topics that im getting imbaresed about it... can someone tell me how much space there is behind the engine and how low my exhaust needs to go to get under the car etc. Saves me allot of work getting my engine in bolted up figheling a tube behind try to see what needs to be done get it out weld it jamme it back in etc.

We ship to Belgium every day, usually only takes 4-5 days if that helps. I would use http://minispares.com/product/Classic/Engi...s/GLP110MS.aspx as above.

i know but i think ill order trough a firm in belgium becaus of shipping rates ( not your people fold but if i look trough the website its a high shipping rate for just a pump so ordering trough a firm would save me that money)
