So I've gotten myself in a bit of a bummer situation:

I finally got my car back from the body shop after a long wait and terrible service. I'm pretty happy with the car but I'm not happy with the flares or the flare fitment at all.

Bummer is the flares are the non-gen Sports Pack from Mini Spares. They're flexy and I've heard bad results. The shop guy said they'd be fine but I'm not into it.
Double bummer is that there are not holes in my freshly painted body for these flares!

So, I'm after another flare option to replace these with that will cover or use the current holes. I don't mind putting a few more holes in and filling these with rubber plugs but I'd prefer not to have them visible.
Can anyone help advise on what options I have? I'm running 13x5.5 wheels at the moment with stock spacing so I'll be inboard a bit on the Sportspack unless I go with some spacers. Not as worried about this.

I've been looking at a set of Sports Pack in fiberglass as the genuine are really pricey.
How about the Group 5 Euro?
Not much info on these but I know someone stateside with a set though he says the hole pattern isn't the same I wonder if the arch will still cover. Its got the flasher indent so maybe http://superfastminis.com/wide_wheel_fender_flares.htm

Thanks!

group5 look good. Would cover mini special holes.

Im not sure if you are saying you have holes for sports pack or not? If you do I would be wary of buying grp ones. Holes didn't line up on a car I had once so the last owner had drilled two sets of holes nicely :(.

On another note, how expensive are those 'superfastminis' arches!?!

+1 vote for group5, thanks for the confirmation.

To confirm: I have the holes for the non-gen rubber sports pack arches which were drilled and installed by my less than great body shop. I don't know if they'd line up with GRP ones but I thought they would at least cover them. I'll probably have to pull the same move as your previous owner and drill a second set of holes.

The superfastminis ones are about 300 GBP (in your units). Crazy price but I've got a line on a set at a reasonable price. Things are much cheaper on your side of the pond.

Ok I'm not sure if group 5 would cover the sportspack arch holes!

Sports pack arches sit really high up the wing unfortunately, i think you'll find it difficult to cover them!

Got to say, sportspacks are a high arch and think you'll struggle to get something to cover the holes.

I had the rubber copy sportspacks and sold them on as I didn't like the fit. personally, if you've got the holes, I'd stick with the same arch style, either with fibreglass ones or originals if you can find some

Okay so -1 vote for the group 5s :(

Sounds like I'm stuck with the Sports Pack which is fine by me, just checking my options. Talked with ABS motorsport, sounds like this is a pretty common question they run into to so at least I feel better in the knowledge that I'm not the only fool :).

I'd just bite the bullet and get gen sport pack arches. They are a well made thing in fairness.

Other option is fg sport pack arches, trim down to your requirements.

I was looking at FG arches and the genuine. Seem like either one would work well and doesn't sound like there are any other options.

get genuine, i made the mistake of buying some rubber ones, they were absolute shite, gaps all round.

genuine second had arches are reasonable price these days as theyre 'not that in fashion' at the moment
