i was wondering if any of you NA boys maybe able to help,

Ive got a maniflow large bore exhaust (2"), and fancy a playmini exhaust. however id like to know if the large bore centre section is compatible with my manifold? as I'm assuming there 2" outside diameter like my manifold...?

ive spoke to playmini and they were little help if im honest.

cheers guys!

many years ago, we used to fit these; if I recall, the link pipe fitted over the top of the y pipe as opposed to the rc40 link being inserted; as I say, its been a while so i'm sure someone else will be able to confirm

From memory, the Maniflow lcbs are eather 2" OD or 1 7/8" OD.

If what you have is 1 7/8" OD manifold, the playmini 2" link pipe should slide over the outside of the manifold.

On fhe other hand if what you have is 2" OD manifold, chop 2" off the end of the link pipe and use a 2" (51mm) VW exhaust sleeve to join the two together.

The latter is particularly useful when you want to disassemble the exhaust to take the engine out. No more swinging on the rear section or battering it with a hammer.

Is it A-Series only? I think it should be...
So when some joey comes on here about how his 16v turbo vauxhall is great compared to ours, he can be given the 'bird'...

That's helpful for me too, have a 2" playmini system to mate to a specialist components manifold
