Chaps, some of you may know I'm going to run twin 40s on my Vauxhall engine. I was planning on building an ally airbox slash plenum with an outlet on the side for remote filter.

Cheers for that pic mate I'd had a tapered box in mind to start. 1/4 Mile 14.3secs 96Mph Terminal 10psi of boost.

Careful how you interpret that flow simulation.

Entering the plenum one side, the flow will favour one side, tapering away creates even flow to each runner Saul Bellow - "A great deal of intelligence can be invested in ignorance when the need for illusion is deep."

The way it reflects the induction pulses will be of consideration too. If you make it curved like in that picture it will scatter them. Sometimes this is good, sometimes not. Only dyno will tell for sure. Also a lot depends on what space you have available to fit it all in really. |

Space isn't really an issue to be honest, it's Na 1.6 8v.

Why use a plenum at all, just seems like extra weight to me.

Best Plenum that I've seen on here is Phil's:

I could do wil but the carbs sit up the back so it'll be a tad toasty, was thinking about having a cold feed that's all. 1/4 Mile 14.3secs 96Mph Terminal 10psi of boost.

In which case I'd suggest a massive box with a cold air feed. Make the box big enough to avoid any specific flow issues.
