Those of you that have fitted a Safety Devices multi point bolt in cage......... How did you get on with it, and how long ago did you fit it.

I'm having not so much a nightmare with mine. Never minding that, I've had to wait 2 weeks for them to replace the right front leg and roof diagonal because of manufacturing/ fitment issues that are nothing to do with the production tolerances either on the cage or the car, they just plain didn't fit. I've not tried to fit the replacement parts yet, but they already look much better, but I'm still lacking fixings they said they would supply...... Back on the phone again tomorrow then for a real ear bending this time. Its the bank holiday weekend, I'm otherwise preoccupied next week and I was hoping to be getting on with it this weekend *angry*

Initially I was disappointed with the customer service until I sent a highly detailed email of the issues. I got a very acceptable response before 12pm the following day. 2 weeks later the replacement parts turn up, and I'm still missing the other parts they said they would supply. Now I'm not so impressed again *angry*

I'll just sort the fixings my self so I can be getting on with it, but I'll be looking for compensation for their stupidity and my grey hair!

I wouldn't need to manage my anger if others would manage their stupidity *Clapping*

Other than that, I'm very happy with the way the cage sits in the car and would recommend them over the 6 point any day *Clapping*

Surely they cannot all be like this?

So when some joey comes on here about how his 16v turbo vauxhall is great compared to ours, he can be given the 'bird'...

Of the cage fitted? Or of the problems experienced?

I'm looking at getting the multi point for my car, this is worrying me.
Have you been in direct contact with safety devices or is it through a dealer?

I bought my saftey devices cage about 7 years ago, the cage fit was as good as could be expected to fit in a mini?

However it didn't have enough nuts, bolts and washers with it. I also source my own as I wanted to crack on with it

I sent your email to SD Colin, oddly enough I have the exact same cage in mine and fitment was perfect although it is several years old now, I've also sold 4 this year without issue :/
