hy. had a search but probably didn't find the proper words.
with time to kill i was looking for the best way and tools to make the front arches bigger. i dont like the cut and leave a sharp end thing. but since it are new wings i dont want to see them mangled by bending a lip with pliers. what is the best way to reshape them?

2 i am thinking about the exhaust trough the A panel thing again but can not imagine how loud it would sound. without a muffler or with just a small muffler. any youtubers out there? or experiences?

thnx

the sportspack cars had a stiffener welded to the arch; I'm note sure how appropriate they would be depending on the arch choice but I suppose something could be made up to reflect your requirements

ha ha yes dont say dolly's i made that mistake.
i use original arches but with the inner side modded for more space ( heated and bend in)

Warwick.

Thats kinda how I tubbed my rear arches, a short section of bar, around 8-10mm diam. 1mm cutting disk down the middle about 10 mm or so deep (the 10mm slit in the bar stops you trying to bend off too much material), then after you have parted off the unwanted metal, slowly go back and forth over the lip making sure not to try bending it too much at once . Doing so will expand the metal too much and will give it a kink by the time you have got the lip at 90degrees.
Then as said, dress the edge a bit with a calibrated knocking stick

With regard to the exhaust, it would be quite loud as the silencer would have to be quite small to fit in place. The bigger issue would be that the EGTs would be very high that close to the turbo, so the packing in the silencer may not last all that long?

Thnx for the input. The bar is kinde as i imagined. But indeed needs to be a full bar.

Matty. Indeed did not yet see it this way and makes me realise that i need to do something about insulation and need more space between downpipe and bulkhead
