My sibling has a Tigra, the rear parcel shelf release cable is not operating when dropping the roof. Does anyone know anything about these or where that cable attatches to?

I seriously doubt it!

No experience with this particular fault but you need to get it onto a good diagnostic machine im afraid, theres a billion sensors and switches which all need to operate in sequence to allow the next stage of operation to complete, more than likely the fault you see is actually not faulty but the previous stage in the mechanism not operating correctly. That said iirc the tigras are hydraulic, so anything that pulls on a string will be likely attached to some part of the roof mechanism that moves at the appropriate time rather than an actuator of its own so youll need to just start removomg trim and follow the cable.
