Hi guys,

I'm just putting my turbo A-series back together after it popped, and at the moment I'm just using the standard distributor and what I want to know is do you guys use the standard A-series ignition or do you use something else? If so, what?

do a search for mapped ignition

there a an awful lot of different options to achieve the same end result, which is to have a static (so no spinny things to distribute the spark) igntion system with the timing fully mappable to change with rpm and boost pressure/vacuum.

Do the search and have a read......also try searching for "EDIS" and "megajolt"

Does anyone use the waste-spark system on the newer minis (not bmw). What sensor does that system use for engine speed? hall-eff or vr (inductive)?

I use wasted spark on my mini, although not new type, mine is 1978, I use inductive type sensor
