Look the same as the other Chinese rods available, to be honest from the ones I've seen they are better quality than better branded rods... I've fitted a few sets to some 998 builds.

Wel..
I think its guine but with different meaning. Same as ce... in china they stamp ot on export stuf and it means chinese export. Here... it means its a surtain quality

you can do anything if you set your mind to it...
i rather blow it up winning than keep it together losing.

finish date set for project 1... march 2018

The only thing that concerns me that the test is showing for all there rods so maybe 1 in god knows
Plus its quite concerning when you have seen the exact same thing half a dozen times.I'm saving the a few more pennies going to sc.

Actually, China has their own CE logo......
It looks almost te same as the original CE loge only the C is a tiny bit closer to the E

Ive said this before and I'll say it again,

chinese manufacture is actually pretty good these days, as long as you keep an eye on them.

So when some joey comes on here about how his 16v turbo vauxhall is great compared to ours, he can be given the 'bird'...

Well these are clearly from a country far far away and not the uk. My concern is that these companies come and go on ebay, if anything goes wrong you can't just pop down the road or even give them a call.

Well, with so many sets of rods being sold you'd think the internet would be littered with horror stories / pictural evidence of things gone wrong SHOULD their Chinese origin be as bad as some suggest. On the contrary hardly anything of such nature can be found, the ebay sellers having 100's of positive buyer reviews.

Besides being a bit heavier than Arrows, Carillo, Pauter etc. they seem to be a nice alternative to standard rods, as long as the rods measure OK and come fitted with ARP rod bolts.

For added peace of mind you can buy the SC branded rods

I think the bolts are what would worry me the most but even with a set of arps in them they are cheap.

All comes down to weight really.

yeah, i did think about the bolts, My SC ones came iwth a nice set of ARP bolts in and ARP packet with ARP lube, as long as these are the same I'd not be worried with using them,

The bolts that come with them are genuine ARP bolts in arp packing etc..

I have recently tested some "Williams" rods on an engine and spun nicely up to nearly 9K. They were a replacement for a set that looked identical of a different name (another cheap set), and they have done 2 seasons of mini se7en racing. I only replaced the old ones due to a spun big end and excessive heat discolouration on the rod.

Weight saving was about 120-150g (per rod) lighter than a lstandard set of rods that have been lightened.

I will be getting a set of 6" sc rods for my build, so probably 500g plus bolts. Similar to the rear arms which are 1.75kg plus pin.
