Chaps, Ive seen these floating about on the web for a bit. Ive been pondering on having a pop at tig welding, but if it ended being shit could just use it as a Plasma instead.

Has anyone tried one out, are they any good or they a bag of wank?

Looks like another Chinese made machine to me. Touch wood mine is still going strong after 5 yr or so.
Personally I think an ac & Dc machine is more useful as you can weld ally. I've never been stuck without a plasma on the other hand.

Its the massive jump in price that worries me. Cheapest after that is like £700

If they look like they do what you want. I'll ask him for a price.

When I got mine, pulse and AC were two features I didn't think I'd use much but now use all the time. Wouldn't want a welder without them.
