Tempting, as it is so close to me, but I am already booked in at Oulton Park on 26th April.

Have a good day if you do go - I,m sorry that I won,t get to see your car though

I was going to this till I saw the drive by limit... 87db! not a chance in hell I'd pass that. When lotus on track did one 13 cars got black flagged and they aren't exactly loud cars, shame :(

87db is crazy.

My MX5 on a standard exhaust makes that on the static test so would only just pass on drive by

Drive by to static test is very different though. The drive by sound meter is a long way away from the car, the static test is usually 0.5m @ 45 deg or similar.
Cars that struggle with drive by tend to be stuff with throttle bodies that make a lot of induction noise.
Its worth the effort though, Bedford is suprisingly good!

Sorry but dollys are awful things, also check the legality, only legal I believe for recovery of a broken vehicle from the side of the road, not transportation.

Oh no! Is this true?! Cops obviously arent in the know- My friend had a dolly and brought n sold probably a car a week for years with a dolly, was a really nice made one... went everywhere with him with it when i was a jobless teen... (most the times it was from a auction and the police used to wait outside waiting for people driving cars home illegally, they never said anything to us loading the cars up on the old dolly?) and then years later when he sold it, my dad (ex cop) brought it off him for me... ive used it probably 20 times moving minis about and my friends have borrowed it probably same amount of times...

87db is pretty high. Only very noisy cars would hit that.

If you pass at 102 static the drive by limit is set to clear in comparison to the static.

That's a bugger on the dolly! My fault I should of read the regulations really. Although I would say mine comes in under 750kg. Looks like i will be selling it though :(.

I'd only heard good things about them previously.

I have ITB's, if the Elise's got kicked off I would have no chance unfortunately. Could take my daily I guess... :)
