From Sheffield now live in York tha noz

I had this with the citrini, it's an oem part, as far as I'm aware you can't buy them alone. The Citroen one had a bespoke swage in the pipe, the plastic retainer clipped over this, with a rubber cap affair over the end to seal it and then it was held in the plastic slave Cylinder body with a spring clip.

I ended up getting the hose from the scrappers, cut the end I needed off and then swaged it as normal to take a brake line fitting at the gearbox end. At the master end the steel pipe was actually larger than std brake pipe so I drilled out a brake joiner male/male fitting at one end and brazed it on to the pipe.

I can probably get pics if you want

What are you trying to do ?

The parts pictured are part of the clutch setup for the internal salve cylinder on some Vauxhall gearboxes.

Tom its a "special" like me haha

Basically I still have my nice Braided Hoses left over from before the Vaux Conversion and would like to reuse them so I was after an adapter that would go from the barb style fitting to threaded. hmmmmm

I may end up taking the Barbed pipe off and directly bypassing it as show in this pic. The Barb pipe is just fed through a hole in the gearbox casing

I may go to the local hose specialist and see if they can make me a line up. Probably the easiest solution *Clapping*

But where is the barbed fitting ? The OEM plastic part you showed doesnt use a barb type fitting ? they seal on o-rings.

Any barb type fitting is a rarity on the pressure side of a clutch line simple because of pressures involved.

Still not really following what you're trying to do though. And if you're using that style of slave, obviously you'll need to create a bleed point much like the OEM plastic fitting you pictured.

Yes, when I say Barbed I mean the o ring bit.

I have braided hoses that are standard threaded type. I need to adapt the threaded type to Barb o Ring thingy, hence the thread name :)

So you want to retain that plastic bleed fitting ?

And screw some sort of threaded fitting into it ?

You could try and drill/tap the plastic and screw an NPT fititng into it....of course there are risks with that.

Or have a fitting made up from steel onto which it would be easy to adapt/weld a fitting to allow the teflon line to connect and then push into the Vauxhall part as normal.

Although again still slightly unclear about what you're doing.

The steel pipe you photographed usually goes from the slave inside the box to that plastic bleed nipple fitting. And then the flexible pressure line goes into the other hole. You would never want or need to change the steel line onto the salve.

It's into that hole you want to insert a teflon line ?

Yes that's the cusp of it.

There's a hose shop down my way so I'll pop down and see I'f they can do anything.

Cheers
