8mm inside diameter for both feed and return is recommended by many and what i have used on mine. |

I found a MPI tank solved all my fueling problems. Highly recomend it! Edited by FesterTurbo on 9th Jun, 2003. |

I must say the "turbo box" option does not convince me at all. God knows how much the torsional stress of the bodyshell is affected after you chop the crossmember in half. Also on LHD cars then you almost have no place for the brake and clutch master cyls.

I have a water cooled T2 in my van. all i did was mod the metro manifold.

MirageMotorsports sells an interesting kit to fit the Garret T2, as found in Renault 5 GT turbo. The nice thing is that the smaller turbo gives a more progressive torque delivery, and ultimately, more "usable" power and torque. Also the R5GT Turbo "Phase2" already included water cooling for the turbo housing - particularly interesting in a Mini! One question: this kit is to fit a Garret T2 in a Metro Turbo engine, or to fit a T2 in a "normal" 1275 mini engine? Thanks, Marc |

As the engines are exactly the same, bar differences in pistons etc, then the kit will fit either engine.

You can use your existing dizzy, but the advance curve will need to be altered to suit the Turbo engine.
