I'm off for the rollers on Friday and have to change to 1,5 rockers first. On 13th Jul, 2012 Ben H said:

Common - this is as bad as re using a head gasket.

I have done this before on a mates car, he didn't want to lift the head but wanted to take off a set of 1.5 rockers before he sold it.

Like Tom - I've done it before - on a nat-asp motor. Don't even think I drained the coolant...

Ummm... Do you think there's enough metal in the head to recess the nuts and put the below the rocker posts?? I know this would mean having threaded studs through the rockers and another nut on top but would cure the head gasket changing issue.
Two things are infinite: the universe and human stupidity; and I'm not sure about the the universe. |

for= if you really havent got the time to take the head off befor friday then id just do the rockers then replace gasket at next avaiable time.
no longer a series, but still 1.3 turbo.

Yes this works fine , done it and friends before with NO problems. Best 1/4 mile 13.2 seconds @116 mph
