Hi

I fitted a kad internal gear linkage.
I could select all gears etc until something strange keeps happening. ...

The circlip keeps sliding up the shaft.

Any ideas why it's doing this?

Regards,
Josh

Is it meant to be notched? Might be worth adding a slight notch with a dremel or thin cutting disc to stop it sliding up.

there is a notch. the circlip fits it but it just gets pushed up!
might fit a jubilee clip to hold it in place!
I'll report back when I'm back from Dublin

I had this - I think the grooves are spot on when cut, but then the stick is chromed and they end up not deep enough. It was actually the bottom one that kept coming adrift on mine.
I sent mine back to KAD to fix, but careful use of a hacksaw to clean the groove should work, then maybe a drop or two of locktite

Yep. If the circlip gets pushed up theres something wrong with it or the groove.
