So the 998 got a rebuild. Its reving well but it used to rev to 7 k easy with this set up. Now its starts to spit and puf on 5 k rpm top. In 1st it easily gos up the revs but all the rest stops at aprox 5 k rpm. I set the ignition with strobo to 8 degree ( otherwise ibset it by ear till it tuns smooth and that meant 14 degree! ) fueling seems fine though ( nice brown plugs) you can do anything if you set your mind to it...

No fuel filter in there. Now. Did some more testing. And noticed it does have to be fueling. When i drive at 3/4 trotle it dos pul straight to 6 k rpm. And should be put a bit richer. ( fresh fuel in now... hiw fast can fuel detiriate) you can do anything if you set your mind to it...

no. and carbs been rebuild. start to suspect the fuel pump not being strong enough to fill both carbs fast enough. you can do anything if you set your mind to it...

set the mixture on the edge of to rich but still ... if i give it like 3 mm less then full throttle it go's really good to 5500 a 6000 rpm and easily does 150 kmh on the trip master. but floor it and it starts to ratle again ignition on 8 degrees or even up to 16 makes no difference. suspecting the electronic dizzy. you can do anything if you set your mind to it...
