Nostalgia, or seeing sense?

Hi,
I sold my turbo mini around the turn of the millennium to fund my university education and have regretted it since. Over the last year or so the nostalgia has been growing, or maybe it's lack of satisfaction from cars I've owned since.
Ideally I'll get my old car back: OPR911J, a 1275gt clubman with tuned metro turbo engine, straight cut box, 4 pin diff, metro turbo brakes and alloys, stripped interior etc. According to the DVLA website it is currently on SORN and the MOT expired in April, having done no miles between the last few tests.

If I can't track it down in a reasonable amount of time I'd like to build a replica.
This is what it looked like, I'll try and dig out some better photos this weekend (prints, not digital!)

I wondered if the odometer just stopped working, rather than something more sinister! But who knows
