just working out CR for a potential engine build using the head that I have recently acquired.

if I were to build a Pre A+ engine with stock crank and 73.5mm pistons, how far short of the deck would the pistons stop ?

just wondering what the CR would be as all.

anyone any idea's ? as we know my head has 21.5cc chambers, and from memory the Omega 73.5mm pistons have 7cc dishes in.

cheers

Richie

I doubt I'll be dipping into the 13's like you did though!

I have been trying to use this calculator but without the piston to deck, I cannot work it out

http://www.gtsparkplugs.com/CompRatioCalc.html

that said even with the pistons flush with the deck it only had the CR at about 9.31:1 which I would have expected more to be fair.

My sister is so fit I won't show anyone her picture

There's no way to know the piston to deck clearance at TDC without doing a dry build unfortunately. Guessing at these things is pointless.
