Ive just finished putting my engine together, but when i turn the fuel pump the engine gets flooded with fuel instead of returning to the fuel tank, its a N/A carb converted for turbo use, im using a Malpassi regulator and an MPI fuel tank. any thoughts?

either the float valve as above, or the reg is overloading the carb.

also check the return is flowing freely, and the reg is connected the right way round

Cheers Joe, what do you mean by the regnover loading the carb? I have a fuel pressure gauge between the reg and carb and it's reading 11 psi is that too high?

Check ypu haven't accidentally fitted the carbs fuel line to the wrong connection, I accidentally did that once while checking fuel pressure.

So when some joey comes on here about how his 16v turbo vauxhall is great compared to ours, he can be given the 'bird'...
