Just wondering how you guys strenghen your bulkheads after fitting the turbo box, as you are cutting through the strongest part of the car??? Minis seem to crumple quite badly anyway in mild stacks, add to that more power and a chopped bulkhead, chances for engine on lap seem high??? Just wouldn't want to see anyone get hurt, thats all. Its only a bit of metal. If it blows it blows!

'Engine on lap' seems unlikely IMO.

if your worried about saftey then perhaps a mini isnt the car for you no longer a series, but still 1.3 turbo.

Thats a damn fine cage Jim !!!!! I'd hate to think how many hours and ??? that took to make. 9.85 @ 145mph

cheers guys, it did take a few months to sort out, it took almost as much time to prep the shell prior to putting in the cage as it did too put the cage in. The efforts paid off, as with all that tube, the car is still only 569 kg's
