I have recently brought a 1293cc engine for my project car. It was rebuilt not too long ago. It's a good solid engine, so my question is can I turbo it with replacing parts? Nothing fancy. I just want to bolts on a turbo for a bit of extra power. So can it be bone without any problems? I know that the carb needs to be sealed and all the extra bits. My conserne is just the engine going bang....

If the cr is under 9.5:1 you could slap a T3 turbo on there and run 4psi imo that basically the metro turbo setup and i cant see many problems

Dont worry about the carb try the search on here i have covered it more than once iirc
Ive properly converted hif 38s and 44s for boost.. i ran over 30psi boost on my own N/A carb
"T piece trick" another good search this will alow you to run an un modified N/A carb into boost
You need the plenum though thats the secret to it working or not
The rest is needles and springs BDD and a 12lb spring is a very fine starting point tune wise
12lb may be a little heavy if your satying under 10spi though

Yes i moved to the darkside *happy*

That's all I needed to hear. It's already a on going project so going all out turbo on it would just be steps back and waste money and a lot of money. So thanks!!

But I am searching now for another to go full on turbo with *wink*
