Ok guys. Just back from holiday and time to crack on with the mk1. I'm heading to stanford on Sunday and wondering if someone can recommend me a cam for my NA build.
I'm just looking for a mildly tuned 1275 which will need an overboar and pistons to suit. Unless anyone has a nice 1275 to sell?
I intend to run a nikki twin choke downdraught carb unless it pisses out fuel (untested carb) then I'll run a hif44.
Just wanting a reliable engine with a little more poke and a nice sound.
Cheers fellas

not had much experience in the last few years with NA stuff and technology is constantly moving. However, for a nice tractable road car, I was impressed with the swiftune SW5

I am going to stanford on Sunday.
I am taking a 290 scatter cam, +40 omegas on rods, adjustable duplex, belt drive kit, straight cut drops, nic plenum, ultimate phase 3 turbo cam with followers (800miles), Kent race valves with titanium caps, saab inlet for gt 17 complete with v clip which fits to the turbo. And stuff which I have forgotten.
This is not an advert as I haven't got pictures up but it will be at Stamford.
It's just stuff I have collected over the years.

Hey dave.
Yes the bird has a stall selling her mini metal coat hooks, key hooks, hanging basket brackets, t shirts, and glass etchings and I am allowed a few inches of the stall to sell my parts.
The plenum looks great, I never used it as my pipework didn't work out so I stayed with my original metro one.
If you pm me your mobile I will forward a picture for you.

Thanks,
Roy B

Got myself an sw5 from the national mini meet Sunday. Will be a while before she's running but fingers crossed it makes for a nice engine
