I've changed my plans so putting up my 1400cc short block up for sale don't know to much about it but here what I do know

74 pistons (think omega)
24cc dish
276 cam
Center main strap
Turbo oil pump
Duplex timing chain
Drilled for 11 stud
Comes with water pump, head studs (11), push rods, dizzy drive

Hmmm,

looks like its been built with short deck height pistons, would need a bunch skimmed off the block to make it usable.

Get some long rods from china :)

I'd want to see a proper DP test on number 4.

Well, all of them really from what I think I see on number 4... an overbore too far perhaps ?

Are you looking at the line in the pic that looks like a crack?

I run a supercharger and I don't care the TB is on the wrong side.

I'm sorry, but a 1400 will never fetch good money. It's by all means worn out...

In my opinion....

That is just a mark from the bore gauge. I'd be more concerned about the offset bore or lack of it maybe. Bore wall looks awfully thin between 2 and 3.

I'd disagree with Vegard about it being worn out. Its got t least 30k left in it

Price is a bit steep though, but then the Mini engine prices are ludicrous these days. I built mine for Pistons £100, Rings £100, block £40, re-bore £80, Skim £40.

Oh, and I doubt the pistons are 24cc dish, more like 12cc with 12cc in the block, there is a fair chunk there. That would be good for a stroked crank!!

Shame this isnt cheaper, I'd come and have a look seeing as im only in bromsgrove, but its too expensive for something with unknown history. If your struggling to sell and want to reduce the price, or have anymore info on where it came from let me know.

Did you see that engine run vegard? Looks Like those cylinders would flutter in a breeze.

with the pistons running down the block I think your going to have trouble shifting this,

I would look at ebaying it as you will have a less picky market on there.
