1100 metro is probably a 8v K-Series... Pretty lethargic, but better than a 998

if not i will look for a nice 998 or 1275 as its now stuck in reverse

turbo is a no no as i use this car daily in all weathers and want to sell in the near future

not being funny.. but why ask this on a mini turbo fourm?

www.miniclassic.co.uk

That might get your question a few more answers (not that I am telling you to bog off from here... far from it WELCOME!)

I cant get on miniclassic anymore seemed to have had problems with the site since the day i registered

Betwix Harrogate and York

The 1100 engine has the same bore as a 998 with a longer stroke. They also have a different head with a slightly larger inlet valve than the 998.

There is no reason why not to put one in instead of a 998 that I can see. It'll certinally be a bit faster than the 998 in standard trim.

I had an 1100 clubby estate. From what I remember it was quite good.

A fair bit quicker and more torquey than a 998.

If my memory is correct it should have 45ish bhp instead of the 998's 35ish. Was nearly 10 years ago though, so i may be wrong.

Too many projects!

an a serie 1098 is a nice daily driver engine with more torque ans so more throttle respons than a 998.an sw5 cam and a 1275 head on it and it's my prefered sbe.
