Non Genuine swivel pin repair kit @ ?7.00 GSJ166MS

Is it a good idea to pay the extra and get the genuine or are do the cheap ones last just as long.

I've always been told to get the genuine ones *smiley*

Its only a little outlay to be honest and it is a critical component.

yeah there was a kid on minifinity who had non genuine ones fitted by a garage to save money i think....car ended up rolling a few times when one snapped. last i heard he was on about sueing the makers although that was ages ago.

I got non genuines many moons ago - they were very poorly machined - the ball joint didnt even move around nicely inside the cup, fitted the bastards anyway and then they seized into the upper arm, they had only been together for a few weeks.

I broke 3 joint splitters trying the get them apart.

So now im back to the genuine articals!

i fitted non genuine to bertie last year as i failed the the mot this year i fitted genuine due to the amount of play yet it had only covered 5-6k
