i was speaking to the fellow who runs my local mini breakers today and he rekons in an other 18mths or so we may have a bit of a shortage of minis for spares.
he rekons the yanks are exporting them in container loads every week and they cant get enough of them.
and if you add the numbers of minis that are destroyed and broke up in the uk as well, numbers must be dropping even more.

just a thought*frown*

no longer a series, but still 1.3 turbo.

My sister is so fit I won't show anyone her picture

Lake District

I've noticed rapidly dwindling numbers of Minis appearing in my local scrappy over the last few years. There used to always be a couple in, now it's rare there's any. Time to start stockpiling bits me thinks !!

Nothing like instigating a bit of panic buying. I suspect that bits are getting rare as people are already stockpiling

Sold the turbo and seeing what the C20XE can do!

Near Lincoln

I've got a huge stockpile but when you try and get rid of bits no-1 wants them!

I end up binning no end of stuff.

I just want enough for my car and then a couple of spares.

i think the main things to start collecting are good 1275 blocks and heads, maybe gearbox cases aswell. seeing as pretty much everything else can be bought new anyway.

Not so much worth anything, but useful to have "in stock" for your own use if you plan to mess with minis for a while........

Don't let Alex hear about this stockpiling malarky, he doesn't need any excuses to hoard up the shed etc.

Certainly been a drop in the number of minis at my local scrappers yards, and on the road too.

Well, we're in the process of buying a house, it's lovely and out of our budget so I'm not scrimping and saving for it to be Alex's little parts warehouse!
We are getting a garage though!
A tidy one though Mr B!
