Hi has any one modified a pre engaged starter to move the solenoid as it's right in the way I've looked at the slimline & high torque but there quite expensive and iam a tight git 😂 |

I modded mine on the metro but can't recall what i did off hand |

I'm pretty sure Matty modified his starter as you describe Scott.

Cheers guys I have a look when I get some time at what I can do I take some pics so if it works i can put a how to on for anyone else wanting to do the same I just can't justify 225quid without at least trying to modify first |

The mini / metro starters ... same starter different solenoid position

The mini solenoid is at around 10o'clock whereas the metro one is around 9 o'clock if i recall

I had a look earlier when I had to pop to the unit to get some work stuff the mini one is further round like you said Rob which mite just give me enough room to get me fan in as I only need an extra 10mm I think |
