Just a couple of little patches nothing major, I'm mainly just stripping it to paint it. There is some mock up work for the different radiator and intercooler I'm going to run aswell before I paint it.

For what it is worth, the landrover td5 cooler fitted nicely in front of the rad with a bit of fettling

Thanks I will have a look into that then, I was going to run an mpi mini radiator and a Renault 5 turbo intercooler at the side of that.

Well finally I've managed to squeeze half an hour in on the van, next task is a shift round and a tidy up in the unit then welding may begin. I have removed the carpets and surveyed the floors so there is some rust to sort there, it's also down on a trolley now ready to move it all about when my mate comes and gives me a hand to sort my unit out in the next week or 2.

But in the mean time I've got my new toy to play with (still a turbo powered mini)

Well as promised I've been back up the unit for a couple of hours, carried on stripping a few bits off, I got bored of that and decided I'd strip some underseal, and get the poking stick out 😂😂 next job is to go back up with the welder and grinder now and start with getting some new metal in it. Looking like that will be next weekend as the Mrs is on nights Saturday and Sunday so I've slipped my lead 👍🏼.

Tune in soon for the tin bashing and welding to commence.

Josh

Typical metro rot spots. Pretty much the same rot as our old van.

It's not bad, the rest of the shell seems ok, doesn't want any full panels just the usual places patch work.

Been up the unit today, And I've started cutting rust out and welding in metal, ran out of etching primer so need to tidy up the door post repair and seal/paint it before doing the inner and outer sill repairs.

I've got to go and grab some gas for mine in the morning before I start 😂. Yeah it's definitely a handy piece of space to have available.

Managed to squeeze an hour in on the van so a little bit of progress, hopefully bit more to come over the weekend. Got the drivers side floor pan rot cut out and patch nearly shaped up, need to go and get a bottle of welding gas Mind before I go back up the unit.
