I need a new actavator for a standard metro turbo that I've put in my mini , what options do I have ?

Standard 'actuator' is around 4psi. You can just use a bleed valve to increase to 7psi.

In the 13's at last!.. Just

As above. If you've already got the standard actuator just fit a cheap bleed valve, this will also give you the option to go higher if needed.

Can't a standard one be adjusted to 7psi by increasing the actuator spring rate (shortening the rod)?

1994 Mini Mayfair, 1330, Mspd Ph2 cam, Benross turbo head, 9:1, GT1752, TT Intercooler, MegaJolt, BMW M3 leather seats.

Good call. It's so long since I've used the standard one. Does anybody know what the standard actuator will give, if much, with more preload on it ?

I think the same actuator was used on the Escort RS turbo and early Sierra Cosworths, so it must be good for 7 psi without trouble.

I'm pretty sure they have a 10psi version as standard. It was an easy way for more boost as they could be picked up for peanuts.
